Early Case Assessment & Analysis
Our trained Early Case Assessment (ECA) professionals help you to assess the facts, determine the scope of the e-discovery and evaluate your risks so that you can develop a case strategy, budget and timeline and prepare for the Meet and Confer.
Thorough ECA results in lower overall costs, a clear case strategy and often leads to a more favorable outcome. Depending on the facts of the case, CDS utilizes either Clearwell Early Case Assessment or Catelas Relationship Forensics to create a clear view into the data to help you define a collection set.
Clearwell’s Transparent Search allows you to preview the search results and deselect irrelevant terms to narrow your set to potentially relevant documents. The Clearwell analytics provide multiple contextual views into the data set: discussion threads, topics clustering, file, term and people analytics, so that you can cull irrelevant data before running keyword searches.
Catelas Relationship Forensics uses social network analysis and behavioral science algorithms to identify both internal and external custodians prior to collection. It is designed to uncover non-obvious connections to ensure that you include data from all stakeholders in the e-discovery set.
